What low rollers lost during the pandemic:
- We lost about half of the $5 table games altogether and virtually all of the table games under $5.
What are your go-tos for low rollers right now?
- North is where you want to be.
- The Strat is the value place for the entire Strip, especially for blackjack.
- At the Strat, if there’s an idle table for $10, the pit may make it $5 on request.
- Craps at the Strat is usually $10 or $15.
- Treasure Island is good for blackjack, all paying 3:2.
- Sahara is good for $5 craps
- All these are what to expect on weekday afternoons.
What if you can expand your bankroll a bit?
- As a tourist comfortable playing $25 3:2 blackjack, for atmosphere, the Bellagio is the place to be. (John tells where exactly to find those tables in the show).
- You can also find good $25 3:2 blackjack games at MGM Grand, Cosmo, and Mandalay Bay.
- Some mid and low-tier casinos are shockingly only spreading 3:2 at a $100 minimum.
Adam and John’s picks for where to gamble throughout the city
South strip:
Adam – Luxor for the great craps crew.
John – MGM Grand for the good blackjack rules and good high limit games.
Center strip:
Adam – Cromwell since Adam is a big vibe guy and for the good crews, but John mentioned a lot of their good VP has been stripped.
John – Bellagio because they’ve always kept the gambling reasonable for their luxury atmosphere, notably their competitive video poker.
North strip:
Adam – Treasure Island has consistently been one of the best spots around for low rollers, offering good value.
John – TI is good, but the Strat is a little better on the value side and the attractions up top are enjoyable.
Downtown:
Adam – Downtown Grand since it’s rarely busy and they have $5 3:2 blackjack.
John – If strictly table games, Downtown Grand for sure, but Plaza for video poker.
