The hot dog is the ultimate equalizer. If it’s late at night and you’ve had a few drinks and need something to fill your stomach until it’s appropriate to have breakfast, a hot dog is the answer. No matter your station, political affiliations, or odd social quirks, we all agree that there are few late-night snacks better than a cheap hot dog. Here are three places you can get a dog under $5:
South Point
The South Point hotdog has made quite a name for itself and is a fan favorite to many! 🤩

It’s at the top of the list for a reason. One of the longest-running dog deals in Vegas, at $1.50, it’s suffered the effects of inflation but remains a favorite. With all the brouhaha about Vegas nickel-and-diming people, South Point still gets it right. The hot dog may be the catalyst for you to make the drive, but the low-limit table games, vast slot selection, and good video poker pay tables will make sure you stay.
Downtown Grand
The dogs are hot and the the beer is cold! Stop by our brand new hot dog cart for a @NathansFranks dog and @PabstBlueRibbon for only $2! Now that’s a great #DowntownDeal! 🍻🌠https://t.co/JAxgHk7nsc

DTG is relatively new to the hot dog scene, but they burst through the doors with a killer $2 hotdog and PBR special. DTG has made moves to be a true low-roller joint, which we can all appreciate. I especially like their late-night burger special at Freedom Beat, $7.77 for a burger and fries from 10 PM to close. Freedom Beat is quietly one of the better casual restaurants downtown and one of my favorites.
Casino Royale
When it’s the weekend and you need a midday snack, you know you can’t go wrong with our Foot-Long Hotdog stand!!! 🌠Tell us how you like your dog down in the comments… or better yet, show us!!! 📸

Among the behemoths on the Strip, Casino Royale still sits as a low-roller haven. The table games are no more and prices on their beer and hot dog deals have gone up, but you can still get a foot long fo $3.49. They also offer $3 domestic and imported bottles of beer.
Honorable mentions
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention American Coney Island at The D. At $5.05, it’s quite a deal. For more upscale dogs, consider Haute Doggery at the Linq Promenade ($8)+ and Dirt Dog ($7.95 +) with outlets downtown, at the Showcase Mall, and Grand Bazaar shops. I’m quite bummed the Bardot Brasserie happy hour no longer includes the beef wellington hot dog. But I can settle for any of the above. Be sure to tell me about your favorite weiner.
